Charis Ann Wiens is an actor, model, filmmaker and artist. She approaches each project with a sensitivity and perspective that is as resonant as it is unique. Charis was born on the Canadian prairie, raised in the Arabian Desert, and now finds herself in Toronto as an eclectic blend of the two worlds.

Charis is uniquely able to connect to and penetrate her audience’s emotional barriers and facilitate a collective cognitive experience that leaves audiences feeling connected, healed and with greater awareness of a world outside of themselves.

Moreover, Ms. Wiens draws upon her emotional intelligence and life experience to create stylistically introspective works through the lens of magical realism that light on the authentic female experience in North American society.

Most recently, Charis completed post-production of her first short film, Naval Gazing, which she was the Executive Producer, Screenwriter and Lead Actor. Charis is currently in pre-production for a short film adaptation of David Ives’ play Venus in Fur.
